For those who haven’t joined yet, Flickr is a free online photo management and sharing service. (Upgrading to a Pro Account offers unlimited space and uploads, and no ads.) In its basic form Flickr offers free image hosting and viewing of your photos. Mind you, Flickr isn’t just an online photo album, it provides the ability to join groups, discuss and annotate photos, tage and "geotag" photos, and create communities. Recently Flickr provided users the ability to upload videos up to 150MB. So, there are many ways you could use Flickr to share photos and collaborate with colleagues and students.
